Positive, Open, and Safe

Do you struggle to understand or name your feelings, needs, or desires? Would you like a better relationship with yourself and others? Maybe you’re looking for an open, safe, and positive space to heal and grow from past trauma? Inclusive Therapy and Consulting Services LLC strives to create access to compassionate and quality psychotherapy services for the LGBTQ+ community, individuals living with HIV, and their supports.

WORK WITH ME

I am a queer-identified, trauma-informed, and sex-positive Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/psychotherapist with over ten years of experience specializing in clinical work with people living with HIV, individuals struggling with substance use disorders, as well as working with a diverse range of relationship styles. Additionally, I provide sex therapy services as well as therapy for trauma, anxiety, mood, and adjustment disorders.  I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Relational Therapy to name a few.

My practice is inspired by the belief that all people deserve to live open, safe, and positive lives. Having healthy relationships with ourselves and others gives us the strength to be the most authentic versions of ourselves every day.

I received my Master’s in Social Work at Columbia University in 2010 in New York, New York. While in New York I trained with the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and specializing therapy care with LGBTQ+ outpatient adults. Throughout the past twelve years I’ve had the privilege to work with diverse individuals and couples, including all gender expressions, sexual orientations, and a range of diverse relationship styles including polyamory, consensual non-monogamy, kink, and BDSM.  Prior to opening my private practice, I spent three and a half years serving as Director of Behavioral Health and a psychotherapist specializing in mental health care for people living with HIV/AIDS.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations and re-scheduled session will be subject to a full charge if not received at least 24 hours in advance ($125 for individual sessions and $165 for couples’ sessions). This is necessary because a time commitment is made to you and is held exclusively for you. If you are late for a session, you may lose some of that session time.

What is a free consultation?

A phone consultation is a brief conversation used to determine if there is a good fit between you and the therapist you are potentially working with. This a great opportunity for the therapist to learn about you and what you’re looking for, as well as for you to ask any questions you might have for them. Such questions might be about what you are looking for help with, the therapist’s style, financial stuff, scheduling, next steps, or any other questions you might have before scheduling your first session with the therapist.
