I am a queer-identified, trauma-informed, and sex-positive Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)/psychotherapist with over ten years of experience specializing in clinical work with people living with HIV, individuals struggling with substance use disorders, as well as working with a diverse range of relationship styles. Additionally, I provide sex therapy services as well as therapy for trauma, anxiety, mood, and adjustment disorders. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Relational Therapy to name a few.
My practice is inspired by the belief that all people deserve to live open, safe, and positive lives. Having healthy relationships with ourselves and others gives us the strength to be the most authentic versions of ourselves every day.
I received my Master’s in Social Work at Columbia University in 2010 in New York, New York. While in New York I trained with the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and specializing therapy care with LGBTQ+ outpatient adults. Throughout the past twelve years I’ve had the privilege to work with diverse individuals and couples, including all gender expressions, sexual orientations, and a range of diverse relationship styles including polyamory, consensual non-monogamy, kink, and BDSM. Prior to opening my private practice, I spent three and a half years serving as Director of Behavioral Health and a psychotherapist specializing in mental health care for people living with HIV/AIDS.
